From Montana to Colorado

I grew up in Montana before attending Colorado State University, where I earned my B.S. in Construction Management. After college, I moved to Montrose, Colorado, bought some acreage, and built an off-grid home for myself.

Colorado has given me the opportunity to spend a lot of time doing the things I love—hunting, hiking, backpacking, and foraging for mushrooms, elk and deer sheds, and arrowheads.

Entrepreneurship & Teaching

In late 2019/early 2020, I started my first business, Urban and Rural Survival, with a focus on preparedness for common emergencies, including medical emergencies and self-defense encounters.

Starting that business began a new trajectory in my life and introduced me to the world of entrepreneurship. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to teach hundreds of students in Concealed Carry and the defensive use of firearms while meeting incredible people from many different walks of life.

Relationships at the Center

Urban and Rural Survival connected me with more people than I could have imagined and reinforced something that has become increasingly important to me: forging genuine relationships is at the heart of what I enjoy and do best.

Through those experiences, teaching has also become something I’m deeply passionate about.

Always Growing

Throughout my twenties and into the present, I’ve placed a strong emphasis on personal development—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

That pursuit has manifested many blessings in my life: a wonderful place to call home, an amazing family, strong and lasting friendships, and a connection to life that feels very special to me.
